- Toggle Live Caption to on
- Language files download on first use
- Captions appear in a draggable bubble
💻 Windows 11
- Press Win + Ctrl + L to enable instantly
- Or: Settings → Accessibility → Captions
- Toggle Live captions to on
- Choose position: top, bottom, or floating
- Works system-wide in any browser. Fully on-device.
macOS
- Open System Settings → Accessibility
- Select Live Captions under Hearing
- Toggle Live Captions to on
- Customize font, size, and colors
- Requires Apple Silicon (M1 or later). Fully on-device.
🐧 Linux
- Use Google Chrome on Linux (same steps as above)
- Or install the Live Captions app via Flatpak
flatpak install net.sapples.LiveCaptions- Works on Ubuntu, Fedora, Mint, and more
